COMPATIBILITY
ETI IS Ltd is not responsible for ensuring product compatibility with your computer's specification. Our support desk ( support(at)eti(dot)uva(dot)nl ) will endeavor to help you to run the software supplied. If it is not possible to run the software, it should be returned, securely packed so that items may be resold. A full credit or refund will be given, but return postage will not be refunded.
PRICING
All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT (European sales tax), currently fixed at a rate of 17.5%. This tax is not paid by customers living outside the European Community or by customers outside the UK and within the EU, who can supply a VAT number at the time of purchase. To view pricing relevant to your country, it is advised that you create an account so that you are sure of the price that you will pay for the product you are ordering. Please refer to the sections on VAT below.
Prices are reviewed on a regular basis, using data obtained from suppliers, and from other industry sources.
However, exchange rate fluctuations and other unpredictable factors prevent us from being able to guarantee supply at announced prices. Prices of all items are therefore subject to change without notice.
PROFORMAS AND QUOTATIONS
We appreciate that budgetary and other financial considerations require some customers to receive proforma invoices or quotations before proceeding to purchase. We are pleased to provide this documentation, if requested. If a customer accepts our proforma or quotation and proceeds to order, we will honour the amount for a period of three months. Thereafter, we reserve the right to charge for unforeseen price increases. We will bill any additional amounts arising from price increases on completion of the order.
VAT: UK customers
VAT is charged to UK customers at the standard rate of 17.5% on CDs and DVDs. UK VAT registered customers do not need to supply their VAT number when ordering.
VAT: EU customers who are registered for Sales Tax
Customers in any of the EU member states who are registered in their own country for sales tax should state their sales tax number and company name and address when ordering from ETI IS Ltd. Please use the order form. If you do this, VAT will be excluded from your bill. Your sales tax number will be quoted on our invoice, together with our own VAT number (GB 786 9634 57), as required by EU legislation.
VAT: EU customers who are not registered for Sales Tax
If you are based in the EU, but are not registered for sales tax, we will charge you VAT as it applies in the UK, i.e. @ 17.5%.
VAT: customers outside the UK/EU
VAT is a sales tax. It is not charged on any goods supplied to customers outside the UK/EU.
DATA PROTECTION ACT
Under the Data Protection Act of 1998, all UK customers of ETI IS Ltd. have the right to know what personal information is held about them on our computer files - our staff will be pleased to advise you. We do not make the names and addresses of our customers available to commercial organisations for marketing purposes. Occasionally we would like to inform you of new products or special offers, and we will mail you with appropriate material. If you would prefer not to receive this information, please tell us.
INTERNET SECURITY
We do not accept liability for the theft of personal data on the Internet (such as your credit card number).
However, the security of your information, transactions, and money is the core of our business and our top priority at ETI IS Ltd.
In the main, we use PayPal for online transactions which automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to our site, our server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches us, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Our servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept payment by the following means:
VISA, Mastercard or SWITCH cards.
Cheques and bank drafts in pounds sterling (GBP).
International Postal Giro (obtainable at your Post Office)
Transfers in pounds sterling (GBP) or Euros to our Bank Accounts. It is essential to notify our sales office via the sales and general enquiries email form when payment has been made, so that we can match the payment to the order.
Book Tokens: we do NOT accept book tokens.
Libraries, Institutions, Organisations and Booksellers. Credit facilities are available for libraries, institutions, organisations and resellers. Orders are usually submitted via official purchase orders. Contact sales for more information.
Individual Customers. Customers ordering in a private capacity are normally requested to pay in advance, or by means of credit card using the shopping cart facility on this web site. Customers of long-standing, and customers who confirm an order to our sales department, will receive the items together with an invoice, payable within 30 days of receipt.
BANK CHARGES
When making payment by bank transfer or bank draft, please add the following amounts to cover the bank charges which we will incur: GBP 6.00 or Euro 8.00. Please quote your customer ID number and invoice number.
