Ed de Vogel and André Schuiteman have completed volume five of Orchids of New Guinea, which will be available from 15 April. Flora Malesiana: Orchids of New Guinea Vol. V. Genera Pachystoma to Zeuxine (excluding Dendrobiinae s.l.) treats 46 genera with 478 species and varieties. Genera of horticultural importance include Paphiopedilum, Phalaenopsis, Renanthera, Spathoglottis and Vanda.
