Deze cd-rom bevat een gebruikersvriendelijk digitaal naslagwerk over alle inheems in de Benelux voorkomende 24 soorten reptielen en amfibieën, plus drie exoten (geïntroduceerde soorten). Naast de wetenschappelijke (Latijnse) namen zijn ook de Nederlandse, Engelse, Duitse, Franse, Spaanse en Italiaanse namen opgenomen. Alle soorten zijn voorzien van korte duidelijke beschrijvingen en geïllustreerd met 159 prachtige kleurenfoto's. Van 11 soorten amfibieën zijn geluiden beschikbaar. Per soort is ook de leefwijze, het biotoop waarin hij voorkomt en de verspreiding in Nederland aangegeven. Twee interactieve determinatiesystemen, één op basis van beelden en een snelzoeker waarin zelf te selecteren kenmerken gebruikt worden, helpen om de dieren snel op naam te brengen. Begrippen en termen in de teksten zijn gekoppeld aan een verklarende geïllustreerde woordenlijst. Een handige verzameling weblinks geeft toegang tot relevante internetsites. Deze cd-rom is een "must" voor amateurherpetologen en natuurliefhebbers. Een waardevolle toevoeging aan de moderne digitale natuurbibliotheek.
